Nearly impossible to obtain, Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis is one of the most sought after member of the genus. Rarely available to the trade, it has a limited range in Central Pacific and is found in deep waters. Collectors must go to extremes to collect this species. Once adjusted to aquarium life, they can do well in the established reef aquarium. All species of Cirrhilabrus are plankton feeders and have no interest in corals, clams, etc. and make ideal, peaceful choices for the reef aquarium. Availability is highly unpredictable and irregular. It's not unusual for only a few of these fish to be seen maybe once every six months. Act fast when available, they sell in an instant.
