Fast Facts The Halfblack Angelfish is gray-brown from the tip of the snout to the beginning of the anal fin. The anal fin, much of the dorsal and the rear of the body and tail are black. There is also orange trim on the gill cover and the base of the pectoral fin. One of the hardier Pygmy Angels, this species usually acclimates quickly to aquarium life, if provided with plenty of hiding places and a varied diet. One of only a handful of known angelfish hybrids, Centropyge flavissimus and Centropyge vroliki hybridize in areas of the Central Pacific where C. vroliki is rare.
