| Fast Facts |
This is one of the smallest of the pygmies. It is dusky orange overall, with a dark spot near the pectoral fin. It is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands and is a durable aquarium inhabitant. Provide it with plenty of shelter sites. It feeds heavily on diatoms growing on the aquarium glass or décor, and live rock or a growth of filamentous algae will facilitate acclimation. More than individual can generally be housed in large tanks; but make sure you add them simultaneously. |
