AVAILABILITY NOTE
Availability Note: If you want one, you'll need to contact us to get on the waiting list, be very patient, and jump on it immediately when available. Availability of this fish is always completely unpredictable, and it may be years between collections. Call 310 562 2922 for details. Yes, it's very expensive.
This species is not much more difficult to care for than other larger angels, but don't attempt it if you have to ask how to get a finicky fish to eat. It is usually slow to begin feeding, but it can do great with expert care, which it does require. The fish in the lower right has been in our personal tanks about 15 years-- we stopped counting. What's the secret? Years of experience.
*The* Holy Grail of angelfishes, Chaetodontoplus conspicillatus is found only on the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef, (good luck with that) east to New Caledonia and south to Lord Howe Island.
