Members of the genus Genicanthus are planktivores and seldom other corals or clams in the aquarium, making them the perfect reef angel. Genicanthus are safer in reef tanks than Centropyge spp. "pygmy" angels. In this species, the sexes look very different, and the female Bellus Angel is as attractive as the
Male Bellus Angel!
This is a deeper water species that requires careful collection and handling, beware of cheap specimens. The Bellus angel is one of the most attractive reef safe angels obtainable.
